Operations Team Lead Hand

The operations team supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operations team of 9, in the daily support of GoSnow’s service delivery in our school’s two locations.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the Snowsports Director and managers in the daily operations of the school, while there are core tasks to be completed each day you will also be flexible and happy to help with new tasks during the day as required
  • Core duties include; setting up the fencing in our snowsports areas, registration of guests at line ups, driving the snowcat with our Ninja Kids, rubbish collection and tip runs, snow clearing, lunch delivery and service, and maintenance of our magic carpet area as required.
  • Using initiative to identify areas the operations team can better support the snowsports departments, this includes process improvement, team training, and building and equipment maintenance
  • Managing the operations team roster within the budget guidelines including any changes or requests for time off.
  • Dealing with any complaints or issues which may arise, including motivating the team throughout the season to continue providing exceptional support to the snowsports departments. This can include disciplinary action.
  • To attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings

Qualifications and job requirements

  • Experience driving heavy vehicles or in snow is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
  • Previous experience working outdoors and in extreme weather conditions
  • Be able to obtain a valid Japanese Working Visa
  • Must have an international Drivers Permit, and a heavy vehicle permit is highly regarded

Wages and hours

The position will start in early November and will conclude at the end of April. Starting at ¥1400-¥1500 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
