Snowsports Scheduler

Our Snowsports Scheduler will be responsible for managing our snowsports lessons sales and instructor scheduling according to the guidelines set by the Director.

The scheduler will be responsible for maximizing instructor usage and also matching instructor’s skills sets to our guests needs. This is a critical role and is suited to someone who is highly organized, accurate, enjoys planning and is great with both staff and guests.

What you'll be doing

  • Working closely with the department managers to schedule instructors according to business levels, this includes all group programs, specialized products and private lessons.
  • Managing instructors schedules and day of requests according to business needs
  • Data entry of changing instructors pay rates
  • Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports of instructor labor
  • Maintain accurate records of all incentive pay programs
  • Maintain all payroll records for the department
  • Change daily instructor schedules to match the morning changes
  • Research any discrepancies for instructor pay disputes
  • Identifying sales trends and advising the sales team more lessons can be booked
  • Working with the snowsports director to analyze historical sales trends to forecast optimal resource usage
  • Administration and office support

Qualifications and job requirements

  • Must have strong computer skills including advanced excel
  • Prior experience in snowsports guest services/scheduling or instructing is preferred.
  • Must enjoy working with the public and staff and have excellent customer service skills
  • Must maintain a positive/friendly attitude often under stressful conditions with both co-workers and guests.
  • Ability to be flexible, take initiative and work successfully in a team environment.

  • Must be highly organized, accurate and an ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Be able to obtain a valid Japanese Working Visa, or meet the requirements for a sponsored visa

Wages and contract period

  • Full time seasonal contract
  • 5 months; 
  • Wages from ¥1400-¥1500 hr, Overtime loading 25% paid for hours over 80 per fortnight.
  • Average 40 hours with 2-3 days off per week. Hours of operation are from 0800-1800, 7 days per week.
  • During peak periods, more hours may be required.
