Niseko Welcomes Snowfall For The Winter 2016/17 Season

Grand Hirafu Gondola — Grand Hirafu ski lifts opening late November ready for the 2016/17 winter season.

Excitement is building with new season snowfall to hit Niseko-Hirafu over the past two weeks, with 18cm observed snowfall recorded last Thursday and more on the way. With now less than one week until the scheduled opening of the lifts at Grand Hirafu on November 23rd, the GoSnow team are gearing up for an exciting action-packed season ahead!

Mt Annupuri mountain runs are well on its way to becoming a skiers' and snowboarders' paradise. Hirafu village including properties, streets and cars have already been covered in a blanket of beautiful fresh snow. Nothing has been left untouched!

With this solid snowfall and plenty more on the way, the countdown is on to the official kick off of the winter season. Here are the scheduled opening dates for the four resorts of Niseko United, posted on Niseko United site:

Niseko Village: December 1, 2016 (Tue) - April 2, 2017 (Sun)

Niseko HANAZONO: December 3, 2016 (Sat) - April 2, 2017 (Sun)

Night Skiing: December 10, 2016 (Sat) - March 20, 2017 (Mon) at the Annupuri, Grand Hirafu and Village resort areas.
