2018-19 Winter - Operations Assistants

Our Operations Team is central to the success of GoSnow.

They start early with the daily set up of our snowsports facilities, including maintenance of our magic carpet, snow clearing, driving the Ninja Kids in our snowcat and pack down. Our opp's teams are out in the elements for the day and the roles would suit laborers/tradie's and those used to working outdoors.

We are looking for team players! And believe this is central to our success; you are a hard worker and like getting your hands dirty! You are flexible, reliable and self motivated.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Snowsports Director and managers in the daily operations of the school, while there are core tasks to be completed each day you will also be flexible and happy to help with new tasks during the day as required.
  • Core duties include; setting up the fencing in our snowsports areas, registration of guests at line ups, driving, rubbish collection and tip runs, snow clearing, lunch delivery and service, and maintenance of our magic carpet area as required.
  • To attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

Qualifications and job requirements

  • Experience driving heavy vehicles or in snow is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
  • Be able to obtain a valid Japanese Working Visa.
  • Must have an International Drivers Permit, and a heavy vehicle permit is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrate our core values: professional, trustworthy, contribution.

  • Meet our standards for our snowsports professional/appearance policy.

Contract Period

Contracts start in November 2018 and conclude in April  2019.

Wages and roster (based on 2017-18 winter, updates for 2018-19 coming soon!)

Shifts work on a four day on three day off roster, with shifts starting from 6:00 am and ending at 5:00 pm. During our quieter periods there is also the opportunity for ride breaks during the day. Wages are paid per hour at ¥1150 per/hr.
