Snowsports Managers

Our managers are leaders who are passionate about teaching snowsports and the ongoing development of our team. You will be committed to providing a high quality guest experience and ensuring effective delivery of products.

A natural leader, you will be passionate about cultivating a culture of excellence providing staff training & development. You will be highly professional, organised and efficient in the day to day operations of your department.

What you’ll be doing

  • Reporting to the Snowsports Operations Manager, you will be managing your team of instructors at your primary department in the daily delivery of lessons.
  • Duties will include supervising program line ups including guest registration, assigning instructors to levels, managing lesson splits and providing support to the instructors as required.
  • Final approval of the schedule and daily run sheets to ensure fair allocation of work and lesson levels according to the priority system
  • Conducting daily meeting’s – summarizing safety, procedural and service points.
  • Be responsible for managing any issues which arise during the day. This will include investigating and resolving issues where necessary and escalating any problems to the Snowsports Operations Manager
  • Identifying areas for product improvement and enhancement
  • Ensure staff are meeting our snowsports policies and procedures at all times, including our professional appearance policy
  • Be responsible for creating a culture of excellence, enthusiasm and passion for teaching snowsports

Qualifications and job requirements

  • APSI Level 3 or equivalent ISIA certification
  • Previous snowsports supervisory experience would be highly regarded
  • Be able to obtain a valid Japanese Working Visa, or meet the requirements for a sponsored visa
  • Demonstrated leadership, customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Organized and ability to multi-task
  • Meet our standards for our snowsports professional/appearance policy.

Job Particulars

Employment Period and Hours of Work

  • Manager contracts run from Mid November until Mid April. Exact contract dates will be provided at application
  • Generally 5 days per week, around 40 hours per week
  • Peak season may require additional days and hours of work

Seasonal Salary

  • Salaries range from ¥2,500,000 to ¥2,700,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Paid holiday days are included in contract
